hello! I really like Aegisub but could you me help with making korean subtitles? They appears as rectangles on the video TT_TT here's my email: helobuffalo2@yahoo.com Thanks!!
Regarding to your question. I'm not an expert in Aegisub. But I've asked around for you. From the info tht I got, you probably have 2 problem or things you need to solve. 1st, you need to use Aegisub tht support Korean Language but sorry I don't know where to get those. Try googleing around or visit Aegisub forum. 2nd, it's probably ur encoding doesnt support korean. So you have to make sure you have those too and again I'm don't know where or how to make those.
Tht's all I could help coz I'm a noob in Aegisub. My sole purpose of using Aegisub is for my subbing tasks. I hope the info could help you.
Okay, hardsubbing the subs. Most of hardcore FS uses Vdubmod, which after few times of tutorial reading, trial and error, I still can't get what I want.
But anyway, there is an easier way of hardsubbing. You use this app, Avi Recomp, you can get it here. http://www.videopedia.pl/avirecomp/news.php. It's fairly easy to use. Another option is to follow this tutorial, which have more complex steps... (>.<). http://www.divxland.org/permanentsubtitling.php.
Well, tht's all the info I got, hope tht'll help you.
Hey, thanks. I'm trying to learn how to time and this was really helpful. There are some things I don't get though. Why do we have to change the red and yellow lines to match with the pink ones? Isn't this going to change what we have already timed? Oh, do we save these in "File -> Save Subtitles" or in "Video -> Save Timecodes File"? Thanks!
hi there thanks for sharing this tutorial to us... i have a query. do you know a technique that we can use to timed the captions accurately? i having a problem with this one...
Darynrose, first off thanks for recommending timing, I'm going to give it my best shot. Second, thanks for this tutorial. Triplez sent me here to look at it. It seems pretty detailed and easy to follow. Hopefully I do a good job. XD
This only apply to scene bleed lines and signs lines. Coz as I mention I dont want it to spill over to the next scene. It's unpleasant and it'll make it look more neat. And I use, File ->save subtitles.
Timing the captions? As in timing the signs in the video? The only way to time a sign is to actually watch the video and check for its start and end keyframes (the pink lines). Subs will appear exactly on from the start of the pink line to the end of the pink line. Unless the sign disappear in the middle of the scene frame. Then you have to adjust the timing accordingly.
